Mickey has been in the automotive industry for over 28 years. He is co-owner of Shaver Preferred Motors in Merrillville, Indiana. The Shaver family has been in or around the automotive business for over 100 years. Mickey learned a great deal of his automotive knowledge from his dad, who owned many dealerships in the 1980s and 1990s. After earning his degree at Western Colorado, Mickey followed in his dad’s footsteps. He attended the NADA, National Auto Dealer Association Dealer Academy in Mclean Virginia, and became a Certified Master Dealer from the National Independent Auto Dealer Association in 2015. He lives in the western suburbs of Chicago with his wife and 3 young kids. When he's not buying or selling cars, you can usually find Mickey either outdoors, fishing, golfing, skiing, playing with his cars or traveling.
